A LOVE post

All I can say is that I had better receive this for Valentine's Day, dear!! If I don't I may kill you!! I have given my husband plenty of subtle and not so subtle hints that I had better get one of these packages delivered to me. I will act surprised and shower him with kisses.

His epic failures of both my birthday and Christmas leave him really no choice, but to just do it. I may not speak to him for at least a day if doesn't comply. (A day is really all I can manage, but I am a genius at making sure he knows that I am pissed without words.)

As an added bonus, visit the new site that Peter Facinelli has sponsored, Twihards4Charity, and find out how you can help Haiti with the purchase of one of the packages above. I love celebrities who lend their fame to good things. Peter is great at this.
So forward this to your significant other and give them a blaring hint at what you expect this Valentine's Day. Maybe you can even convince them to take you to see Taylor Lautner's new movie named after this LOVE-ly holiday. Wouldn't big opening weekend numbers be a great present for our new 18 year old. (I have been forbidden from writing a post about how he is legal and that I can now lust after him openly. I wouldn't do that anyway. 23 is the youngest I will go and truthfully Rob owns me and a Taylor conversion will not be happening.)

Question #8
This is a three part question- 1 point for each correct answer. The most specific answer will get a bonus of 10 points!!!

Why was it necessary for Esme to be turned into a vampire by Carlisle?

What was the cause of her injuries?

And -What was the reason for her decision?
Answer #8

Personal history of Esme Cullen: In 1911, Esme broke her leg falling out of a tree she’d climbed. Her family lived on a farm on the outskirts of Columbus. The local doctor was away, and it was after dark by the time they got her to the small hospital in Columbus. A Dr. Cullen treated her. It was his last month in town. She never got over the experience. (PC1)

Esme was the last of her friends to marry. She was thinking of moving West to be a schoolteacher, but her father didn’t think it was respectable for a lady to live alone in the wilds. The son of a family friend, a man with good prospects, wanted to marry her, and her father pressured her to accept. She was indifferent towards Charles Evenson, but not opposed to him. She married him in 1917 at the age of 22, and quickly found that this had been a bad decision. Charles’s public face was very different from his private face; he abused her. Her parents counseled her to be a good wife and keep quiet. When he was drafted to fight in WW1, it was a huge relief to her. When he came back in 1919, it was terrifying. (PC1)

Shortly after his return, Esme discovered she was pregnant. The pregnancy was Esme’s catalyst to escape. She couldn’t let a child be brought into that home. She ran away in 1920 to live with a second cousin in Milwaukee, and then moved further north when word of her whereabouts leaked to her parents. She blended in easily, pretending to be one of the many war widows. She taught school in a small community outside Ashland. When her baby died in 1921 from a lung infection just a few days after he was born, she had nothing left. She had no idea that Carlisle was working in the little hospital in Ashland when she jumped off the cliff outside the town. Carlisle remembered her, of course, as the happy girl she had been at sixteen. He didn’t want her to die and so he saved her. (PC1)

When she opened her eyes, in all that pain, and saw the face that she’d never forgotten in a decade, she was relieved. She was not really that upset to find out she was a vampire, but she didn’t take it as in stride as Emmett had. Still, she was happy to be with the man/vampire of her dreams and they were soon married.

Esme Platts day old baby died and in her distress she jumped off of a cliff. Was taken straight to the mourge because she was assumed dead. Carlisle recognised her as a patient he had a long time before when Esme broke her arm as a child, and couldnt stand to see her die.

1.) When Eseme was brought into the morgue she was presumed dead. Carlisle could still hear her heart beating. He remembered her as the happy, pretty girl he had treated 10 years earlier for a broken leg. Carlisle did not want her to suffer any longer so he decided to change her into a vampire. She was dying anyway and that is the only way Carlisle would change anyone into a vampire.

2.) She got her injuries because she tried to kill herself by jumping off a cliff.

3.) She ran away from her abusive husand Charles Evenson and found out she was pregnant a few days later. Her son was born in 1921 and died a few days later of a lung infection. Esme felt she no longer had a reason to live so she jumped off the cliff.

Esme committed suicide by jumping off a cliff after losing her baby due to an abusive husband. She had met Carlisle when she broke her arm when she was 12 and there was a spark between them. She met him again at 18 and the spark was still there for both of them. When he found her in the morgue with her heart still beating, he thought it was fate of sorts.

she was dying of her injuries

What was the cause of her injuries?
she jumped off a cliff.she had broken ribs and pretty much all her bones and was losing blood

Carlisle turned Esme because he recognized her in the morgue.. he had treated her for a broken leg when she was a teenager. (She fell out of a tree.) Anyway, she was presumed dead but he heard her heart beating.

She had tried to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff because her son had died a few days after birth. He died because of a lung infection.

That's all I've got for details. :)

Esme married the abusive Charles Evenson in 1917. When he came back from serving in WW1 his abuse worsened. In 1920 Esme ran away from him after learning she was pregnate. She ended up in Ashland, Wisconsin where Carlisle Cullen was working at the small hospital. Her baby was born in 1921 and died at only days old. Then she jumped off a cliff. She was so close to death they took her straight to the morgue. When Carlisle found her there her heart was still beating and he saved her by turning her into a vampire.

Esme was dying and that is why Carlisle changed her. She jumped off a cliff to kill herself because her baby boy had died.

Awesome job everyone!!! That was a bit harder!!

I will be announcing the winner of the bonus points as soon as possible. As I am unable to be objective I am going to let someone else choose. I am thinking I will ask my dad.
