The Twilight Board Game

I am one of those lucky people who has a great family. I have some very good friends, most of them are related to me. I think we are all very funny and laughter is always a major ingredient in our get togethers. We eat and drink and laugh. The more we drink, the more we laugh. I will even admit that I have wet my pants from laughing so hard. Which in turn has made for more laughter. One of our favorite things to do is play games. We play both cards and board games. We used to play Monopoly, but some people, they know who they are, are too competitive. We have played many games of Cranium. If you have not played Cranium, do it . That game is so much fun. When I think of all the laughs we have had, I want to hum a song. Maybe Shake Your Booty? (Sorry, that is probably only funny to a couple of people who were there. If they weren't too drunk to remember.)

On Monday night MrsMe arrived to do a book exchange(Lord knows how our kids have been taken care of with our reading habits). She tried to con me into going out and either getting my nose pierced or a tattoo. That was not happening. She accepted a surrogate in RZ and they drove around looking for an open tattoo parlor while I stayed home and read Eclipse.
When my family arrived home disappointed and tattooless, I suggested a pick-me-up in the form of The Twilight Board Game. I was so excited to get this game. Convincing RZ to spend $15 on this involved a trade off that I won't burn your ears (eyes?) with.

Yes-This is me 5 seconds after I licked Edward's face

This is all I can say about this game:

First of all- The directions are confusing. If we had been drinking there would probably just have been more licking of Edward's face and making our game pieces do nasty things with each other. (MrsMe's green piece was dubbed Edward, My pink was Bella and RZ's collectable metal piece was Jacob) When landing on the same square we couldn't pry Edward and Bella apart. Edward threatened to hamstring Jacob.

Then there were no dice included in the game. Half of the challenges are stupid dice rolling challenges. i.e.-If you roll 2 dice and get 8 or higher you have completed this challenge. WTF does that have to do with Twilight!!!! MrsMe's tiny pieces of paper in the cup made for interesting dice-rolling.
The game was so easy that RZ was able to answer the questions. That is saying a lot!! We laughed so hard at his answer to; What beer does Charlie drink? My husband, the beer lover, excitedly hollers-"I know this!! Schlitz!!". I almost wet my pants!!

RZ's opinion on the game and Twilight in general.

The most annoying part was the incorrect spellings and worse the wrong answers. (Check out my Facebook face for an example)
Quillayute?

All in all, we had a great time and laughed so hard!! MrsMe won the game. I am very disappointed in the game. IT SUCKED. I probably won't be buying the New Moon Board Game.

At least I got a cute little Twilight Notepad.
